EN: I […] am an Inari Sámi, the youngest child of a reindeer-herding family from Kaamanen. I studied handicrafts at the Sámi Education Institute (SAKK) in Inari and learned at home under my mother's guidance. I have great respect for traditional duodji and wish to continue learning more about it. In my art, traditional materials such as tanned reindeer leather and wool are combined with modern elements and given new uses.
