I live in Stockholm, but my family comes from Lapland. My grandmother Märta was a Sámi from Swedish Lapland and she […] always knitted and created beautiful things. She taught me to knit and make lovely Lovikka mittens according to old traditions. Her father Isak Sevä, my great-grandfather crafted in reindeer horn and wood. He created boxes and cups. For me it is important that the Sami craft tradition lives on and I want to be part of that chain. I only use traditional materials and everything are handmade. I knit mittens with Lovikka yarn and it’s important to make them in a traditional way. In my Sami jewelry I use reindeer skins, reindeer antlers and pewter.
