I am of coastal Sámi origin from Store Lerresfjord in the municipality of Alta with my father's side from Sør Varanger. It is vital for me to learn, continue to learn, and to preserve the Sámi weaving. I weave, knit […] and sometimes sew. I am also doing reconstruction work on old weaving patterns as one way to preserve old and sometimes lost family traditions. I occasionally teach weaving and share my knowledge on weaving traditions.
