Jeg liker å utforsker hvordan samisk form- og materialforståelse kan finne nye uttrykk i møte med samtidens estetikk og behov. Produktene mine er inspirert av tradisjonelle gjenstander, materialer, former eller funksjon med ny uttrykk, materiale eller bruksområder. For meg handler samisk estetikk om mer enn det vakre. Det handler om produkt laget til dens formål. EN: I grew up with traditional duodji and have had a close connection to the craft, materials and Sámi aesthetics throughout my life. I have an education in product design from OsloMet and this combination of traditional knowledge and formal design expertise has given me a good foundation as a designer. I like to explore how Sámi understanding of form and material can find new expressions in the face of contemporary aesthetics and needs. My products are inspired by traditional objects, materials, shapes or function with new expressions, materials or applications. For me, Sámi aesthetics are about more than beauty. It is about products made for their purpose.
